How to Get a Rebate:
    1. Verify that your commercial or multifamily property is located in the service area of a utility participating in the Saving Water Partnership.

    2. Have your sprinkler system inspected by a landscape or irrigation contractor licensed with Washington State. See Choosing a Contractor (pdf) for a list of contractors who hold certifications from various professional organizations.

    3. Have your irrigation professional complete the assessment worksheet in the Rebate #3: Commercial and Multifamily Properties form (pdf). To help you calculate the total rebate amount, we've created the following worksheet:
    4. Work with your contractor to create a water budget and watering schedules from the on-line calculators in the "Seattle Area" of www.iwms.org.

    5. Fill out the Rebate #3: For Commercial and Multifamily Properties (pdf) application and attach copies of itemized invoices with contractor name, date of service, and make, model and cost of all services and products. No rebate will exceed the total cost of an irrigation upgrade project.

    6. Send the completed forms with required documentation to the Seattle Public Utilities address listed on the rebate application form.

    7. Submit the application within 90 days of installation, and in advance of the Dec. 1, 2008 deadline.

    8. Keep your old controllers. Product installations will be inspected by the utility before a rebate check will be issued.
