Industrial & Commercial

It's both cost-effective and good for the environment to adopt water-efficient procedures, equipment and technology for space cooling, refrigeration, laundry, cleaning, and simply flushing.

Get Cash Incentives to Cut Water Use

Commercial and industrial customers of water providers in the Saving Water Partnership can get financial assistance to conduct technical studies and implement water-conservation measures.

Toilet and Urinal Replacements
Rebates of $80 to $120 per fixture for replacing older flush valve toilets and urinals with more water-efficient models. Free toilet replacements or rebates of $80 per fixture for replacing older tank toilets with FlushStar toilets that perform well and save water.

Refrigeration Systems
Incentives of up to 50% of costs for air-cooled refrigeration projects that meet cost-effectiveness criteria.

Medical/Scientific Equipment
Rebates for up to 50% of costs for upgrades related to steam sterilizers, medical air and vacuum systems, x-ray processing and other medical equipment.

Cooling Improvements
Rebates for up to 50% of project costs are available. Great savings can result, for example, from replacing single-pass cooling systems for air conditioning, refrigeration and other equipment. Improving control of cooling tower water provides quick opportunities for office buildings, manufacturing plants, schools, universities and hospitals to save money and avoid costly repairs due to equipment failure.

Food Service Equipment
Cash incentives for water-efficient food service equipment, including up to $1,250 to replace inefficient food steamers.

New Construction and Major Remodel Projects
Cash rebates for installing high efficiency toilets (HET) and urinals, efficient clothes washers in commercial and multifamily (four or more units) construction projects and other water-conservation technologies. Pre-approval is required.

Irrigation Systems
Rebates for upgrading existing or new systems with evapotranspiration controllers, soil moisture sensors, rain sensors, weather-based automated scheduling and other water-conservation features. Irrigation system upgrades save water and improve landscapes by avoiding over-watering.

Laundry Equipment Upgrades
Rebates of $300 per coin-op machine or up to 50% of project costs for other efficient laundry systems.

Industrial Processes
Rebates for up to 50% of costs for projects involving water-cooling of industrial processes.
