Commercial Toilet Replacement Rebate
For Hotels, Restaurants and Other Businesses

Businesses can significantly reduce their water bills by replacing old toilets (installed before 1994) with models that use fewer gallons per flush. Water providers in the Saving Water Partnership offer incentives to help businesses make the switch.

Financial Incentives

Tank Toilets
Starting January 1, 2011 businesses that replace all tank toilets will qualify for a $100 rebate per WaterSense labeled toilet. WaterSense is a new EPA water efficiency branding program that identifies products with high efficiency performance and reliability. Each new fixture must be WaterSense labeled..

Flush Valve Toilets and Urinals
Starting March 1, 2012, rebates of $100 are available for replacing older flush valve toilets and urinals with high efficiency models. The new fixtures must be high efficiency (HET) or WaterSense certified models to qualify for a rebate.

  • Replacing 3.5 GPF (gallons per flush) fixtures with 1.28 GPF HET fixtures qualifies for $100 per fixture.
  • Replacing 1.0 or greater GPF urinals with WaterSense certified urinals qualifies for $100 per fixture.
In the case of replacing older code compliant (1.6 GPF) fixtures with WaterSense certified and/or HET fixtures, rebates will be determined on a case by case basis and subject to available funding.
