| Rebate #2: For New Sprinkler Systems |
| If you are planning to install a new automatic sprinkler system or have installed one within the past two years, you may be eligible for a $225 to $375 rebate when you include a “Smart” controller. Your rebate application must be submitted within 90 days of product installation. |

| How to Get a Rebate: |
1. Verify that your property is located in the service area of a utility participating in the
Saving Water Partnership.
2. Have your in-ground sprinkler system inspected by a landscape or irrigation contractor licensed with Washington State. See Choosing a Contractor (pdf) for a list of contractors who hold certifications from various professional organizations.
3. Install an Evapotranspiration (ET) Controller and a Rain Sensor or a Soil Moisture Sensor(s) with a Conservation Controller with your new sprinkler system. For details see Service Requirements & Product Specifications (pdf)
4. Fill out the Rebate #2: New Sprinkler System Rebate (pdf), attach copies of receipts and get appropriate signatures from your contractor.
5. Send the completed application with required documentation to the Seattle Public Utilities address listed on the rebate application form.
6. Submit the application within 90 days of installation, and in advance of the Dec. 1, 2008 deadline.
7. You will be contacted by Seattle Public Utilities to schedule a verification inspection of your new irrigation system with approved controller before a rebate check will be issued.
